In Australia there are only a handful of real bespoke tailors left, you can actually count them on your fingers. Germanicos is proud to be the only national and most cost effective true bespoke tailor left in the country.
We started from humble beginnings in 1999 from a small shop on Little Collins St in Melbourne’s CBD.
Our founder John Tellis wanted to offer the same quality of Savile Row bespoke suits at a price point where more people could experience this in Melbourne and then throughout Australia. John worked out a formula to cut out all middle men, especially in the fabric buying department, this enabled us to cut the costs of the highest quality English and Italian fabric considerably, and offer bespoke suits at the best prices in Australia by far.
